Up to now, the numerical model of Saphir NL has been restricted in multiphase to water-dead oil and water-gas situations. The reason behind this restriction is the occurrence of potentially large oscillations on the loglog derivative when analyzing production or injection with multiphase flow. This paper summarizes a study conducted to better understand the nature of these oscillations, and how to damp them. It is a preamble to the release of a full 3-phase option of Saphir NL in a future 4.20 upgrade.
