KAPPA trains hundreds of client engineers in their own offices, every year.

The advantage of an in-house session is that specific issues of client data can be covered in a workshop environment. As our trainers are highly experienced practitioners this, in effect, provides simultaneous consulting and training.

Although the decision may be made to run an ‘off the shelf’ session very often the course is essentially a foundation or advanced with hybrid content relevant to client data and so, prior to a session, we will discuss the training objectives in detail. This very often results in data being sent to KAPPA for analysis and preparation before we arrive on location.

A word of warning however; in-house courses are usually highly relevant to a specific client but there are disadvantages; if the session is in the engineers ‘home’ office there is always the tendency to leave the room to continue the day job. Also, mixed experience groups rarely work. Putting 20 year engineer with new graduates is a guarantee to disappoint someone. Prior to such a session we are careful to qualify the target audience to ensure expectations are met.
