Hall Plot (KS)
Objectives
The task implements the modified Hall method (SPE 109876) calculations used to perform qualitative reservoir water injection monitoring activities. The method estimates values for the Hall Integral, both analytical and numerical derivatives of the integral and calculates cumulative water injection.
Input
Injection pressure – injection pressure gauge.
Injection rate – water injection rate gauge at standard conditions.
Pi – reservoir pressure just before the start of the injection campaign.
h – net pay thickness.
k – formation permeability.
phi – formation porosity.
Sor – residual oil saturation just before the start of the injection campaign.
Bw – injection water formation volume factor.
cw – injection water compressibility.
muw – injection water viscosity.
rw – wellbore radius (open hole).
Output
Hall integral – dataset with Hall integral values.
Hall derivative analytical – dataset with values of analytical derivative of the Hall integral.
Hall derivative numerical – dataset with values of numerical derivative of the Hall integral.
Winj cumulative – cumulative injected water dataset.
The output channels can be used to create a Hall plot.
