Adding Phase Production Data
A default Production node is automatically created when a new well is added to the Field. A Production node is a group of phase rates — oil, gas, water. Production nodes are meant to store low frequency allocated production and can be loaded as point data or step data.
Click on the Production node to select it. The context menu will display an icon list of available actions. See illustration below:
Click on Gauge
. A load new dialog is displayed.
Follow the steps as outlined in section Adding a Gauge to a Well to locate and display the data for a production tag.
This time notice in the Confirm load window the high frequency checkbox is not checked and time format default selection is Time at start . This is because, by default, production data are assumed to be low frequency step data. To confirm the data frequency use Data preview tab; check the high frequency box if required.
See also: High and Low Frequency Gauges.
If low frequency, it is recommended to load production data as steps; therefore, the time format selection should be either Time at start or Time at end (consult your production data teams to assess which Time stepping strategy to use, i.e., …at start or …at end).
If Time at end is selected, additionally input the First step duration.
Review the Unit/Data type and proceed with the Load button. K-A will proceed with loading the production onto a phase rate that matches the earlier selected data type. See illustration below for reference:
To load the remaining rate phases, repeat the steps outlined in this sub section and in the Data type select the relevant phase.
Important
Once loaded, the Data type of a production phase can be modified by clicking on the Edit ,
, option accessible from the Production data Info toolstrip or by right-clicking on the node.
