Updating the seed model in iPTA Workflow
Once created, an iPTA will run in the background, extracting newly identified/validated shut-ins, and extrapolating the model from the seed file to the new shut-ins, with or without improve. However, the original model definition will not change.
In case the user identifies that the model or other seed parameters (e.g., fluid properties) need to be updated at a certain point in time, the iPTA workflow can be updated.
From the iPTA folder in the field hierarchy, download the iPTA document from where the change/correction needs to be made.
Open the document in Saphir in KW by clicking on ,
.
Make the necessary modifications, then save the document. The document will automatically update in KA.
Important
Restart the iPTA from the date of modification. (see Restarting iPTA for more details).
It is important to ensure that the shut-in selected from restart is the same as the one where the model was modified.
The iPTA will resume from the data specified. Any files with shut-ins after the specified date will be deleted and recreated, using the updated model.
