Data Editing
Editing of a data applies to data sets as well as well properties. It is limited to the deletion of sections.
Note
High frequency data cannot be edited. They must be filtered first and then the filtered data may be edited.
When selecting a data set or a well property the Edit data option is enabled in the Plot toolstrip.
Click on Edit data to access the editing options. They include options to select, manage selections, and delete points in the selection. The selection mode depends on the data type (step or points). With point data, selection works with a box selector.
With step data, the selection can be done by area, or clicking directly on the desired steps.
Multiple (and disjointed) selections can be done using the selector multiple times.
After a selection has been made, it is possible to delete the points/steps, to clear the selection, or cancel the edition using the corresponding data editing options.
Warning
The Delete action cannot be undone.
Tip
If the table is displayed next to the plot, selections will be highlighted in the table. It is also possible to make or change the selection directly in the title by clicking on rows. Range selection is possible with Shift.
At any time, the user can use the right-hand side Plot toolbar options to redefine the zoom using the Zoom out, Manual Zoom options and the user's mouse wheel.
Note
For step data editing, when a step that is not the first one is deleted, the previous step gets extended. This applies to data sets and well properties equivalently.
Well properties values (or steps) cannot be deleted when they reflect a result extraction from a KAPPA-Workstation document. This is because KAPPA-Automate maintains a constant synchronization between documents and the corresponding extractions. To delete the value in this case, you need to delete the corresponding analysis in the document.
