Plot Scaling and Display Options
Plot scaling and display options apply to any user, custom, item or properties plot in K-A. They are available in a vertical toolbar next to any visible plot. The table below provides a list of the generic options. Some plots may have additional or fewer options, depending on the context.
Plot toolbar
![]() | Pan. By default, the Zoom in and Panning options are activated for one move only and are deactivated when the click is released. When these options are enabled, they remain enabled till they are cancelled or some other option selected. |

![]() | Zoom out. |
![]() | Manual zoom. Enter the scale manually. |
![]() | Reset the scale to the default. |
![]() | This option enables users to zoom to fit only the data currently displayed. |
![]() | In cases where users are plotting different data with varying scales, this option ensures alignment of all Y axes for consistent comparison. |
![]() | When panning, this option ensures that inactive scales remain unchanged, allowing for precise adjustments. |
![]() | Undo zoom. |
![]() | Redo zoom. |
![]() | This option automatically resets the pane heights. |
![]() | Show / hide the crosshair showing the cursor position on the plot. |
![]() | Show / hide the exact data values showing at the cursor position on the plot. |
![]() | Show / hide grid lines. |
![]() | Show / hide legend from the plot. Once displayed, it can be moved using the mouse as the cursor turns to a four arrow pointer |
![]() | Change the time scale. By default, Local time is selected. When UTC is picked, the icon turns different |
![]() | Edit the plot aspect defining the style (Line or Marker), type (Solid, Dash, Dot...), size and color of the plot. |
![]() | Take a screenshot of what is currently displayed on the plot. A file with a .png extension is automatically created and saved in the Downloads folder of the user machine. |

Keyboard shortcut
The mouse wheel can be used to zoom in or out around the current cursor location.
Double click on a plot axis to access manual zoom set options for that axis.
Click + Drag on any y-axis: Vertical translation of the axis
Click + Drag x-axis: Horizontal translation of the axis
Ctrl key + Click + Drag: Zoom in (up/right) and zoom out (down/left).
Delete key: to delete any elements in Tree view.
Double click or Ctrl + Click on a curve: to open edit plot aspect dialog.
